Available for work for the World Soccer Cup.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my work for the World Cup has been canceled. I am available as a Guide for the period 10 June - 1 July 2010. I have injured my arm but am still able to work as a Guide.
Please contact me should you need a German or Dutch Speaking Guide for this period.

MD of Thomas Cook, Germany visits SA!

What an honor it was to be the Driver/Guide for the MD of Thomas Cook. Germany and his family.
We visited all the usual places and spent an entire day in the KNP. When they arrived, I did the the local Thing and wore a Zulu Traditional outfit at ORT. The STARES!

He is only 38 years of age! I was expecting somebody much older. He brought his wife and parents along. We spent some time at White Elephant Lodge in Pongola. The food and luxury tents are to die for!

The old house is colonial and we felt like movie stars in "Out of Africa".

Accommodation for Guides and Coach Drivers in Lodges.

Why do Lodges and Hotels place Guides and Coach Drivers in such poor accommodation when travelling with clients? I know they need "Bums in Beds".. but hey? what are we?? Without us, the tour won't happen in the 1st place. We are the KEY ELEMENTS for the tours to succeed and yet we have to sleep in rooms that are sometimes not even fit for staff members.

FIFA WORLD CUP - A WORD OF ADVICE TO TOURIST GUIDES.

We are all very excited that South Africa is having the World Cup here next year. It has created many jobs for people that otherwise would not have an income.

It has been responsible for new highways and upgrades at airports and hotels.. One cannot but stand in awe about all the positive things that are happening in this beautiful country of ours..
