Gauteng Guides Ass has launched an SMS hot line for the reporting of any illegal guiding. Illegal guiding has been seen world wide as one of the most controversial subjects, as what constitutes an illegal guide, fortunately in South Africa we have the Tourist Amendment Act no 72 of 2000 which spells out illegal guiding. Up to now it has been difficult to actually report illegal guiding as the channels for this was difficult and cumbersome. GGA has set up this SMS line whereby illegal guiding can be reported immediately and this information will be captured in a database and then passed on to the relevant authorities for action
We urge all registered guides to help with the curbing of this practice by helping GGA to set up the database and to eradicate this practice.
SMS's are charged at normal cell rates or free SMS's
