
Foreign Language Training
French Training level B1 (Intermediate Level)
The Gauteng Tourism Authority will offer an Intermediate level French Language Training from August 2012. Learners will be recruited from all 5 regions within Gauteng from the Hospitality and Travel and Tourism sector, 30 learners will be short listed for a six months training. Attending every Tuesdays and Thursday for 2 hours (mornings) at Alliance Francaise based in Parkview, Johannesburg.
To meet the requirements of the NSDSIII, the beneficiaries of the profile should meeting the following:
1. Age- Access to skills development must be given to young people who are most disadvantaged when it comes to access to education training. (Youth)
2. Gender- Priority must be given and attention to be paid to access to skills by women.
3. Race- Priority is to focus on giving more opportunities to previously disadvantage South Africans.
4. Geography- Skills development programmes must be implemented in all five regions within Gauteng.
Recruitment will take place in the following sectors:
• Hospitality:
~ Hotel Front line staff who deal with French delegates
~ Restaurant staff who work with French delegates
~ Bed and Breakfast staff that accommodates French delegates.
• Travel and Tourism Services:
~ Tour Operator/ Tourist Guide – must be working with French Tourists
A refundable deposit of R500 is payable by each learner before training starts. This amount will be refunded after completion of training (6 months). If the learner does not complete the six months training without a good reason he or she will forfeit the fee. Good reason for non-completion will entail and inability to complete the course, which must be supported by appropriate evidence.

Update your info
To update your information please follow this steps
1.go to SEARCH (main Menu) click users and enter your GPno.
2.Click on your GPno link when it returns
3.You are now able to see your public information
4.Click Request new password (Below Login)
5.enter your GPno or email address
6.Computer will send new password link to your email address
7.Click on link in password email
8.you will now be logged on to your details
9.change your password and keep for future reference
10. Now update all your detail and your picture (max size 85x85pxl)
To check the email in the database
1.Click Guide Search on main menu
2.Tick email under Display options
3.Find your GPno and confirm the email address that the password has been sent to.
4.If you don’t have access to the email in database please send an email to gautengguides@gmail.com with your name and GPno and new email and it will be reset
