The Tourism Amendment Bill has been published for public comments by the Minister of Tourism on the 15th of April 2019. The Bill seeks to amongst other things, regulate short term home rental; provide for additional competency requirements for tourist guides; and provide for the regulation of safety in relation to tourist guides.
The Department of Tourism would like to extend the invitation to all tourist guiding stakeholders to attend and participate in the consultation session scheduled as follows:

Stakeholders are encouraged to attend and use the consultation session as a platform to make their inputs. Stakeholders are also encouraged to submit written representations.
